Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about accounts, launches, networking and events.
General
What is Kaasla?
Kaasla is a community for people building companies from Estonia or with Estonian e-Residency. Members use it to find collaborators, launch products and run events.
Does it cost anything?
No. Kaasla is free for individuals and nonprofits.
Who can join?
Anyone running or planning an Estonian company, whether you live in Tallinn or on the other side of the world, plus the mentors, investors and service people who support them. You do not need e-Residency to join.
Is Kaasla available in Estonian?
Yes. Use the EN / ET switch at any time; your choice is remembered on this device.
Your account
How do I update my profile?
Open your profile and choose Edit profile. You can change your photo, role, country, city, skills, bio, links and what you are here for.
I forgot my password.
Choose “Forgot password?” on the log-in page. We’ll email you a link that works for one hour.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Settings and choose Delete account. Everything tied to your account is removed permanently.
How is my data protected?
Passwords are stored as secure hashes, connections use HTTPS, and your email is never shown on your profile. Read the privacy policy for details.
Launches
What is the difference between a launch and “coming soon”?
A launch is live now and collects upvotes. A coming-soon page collects “notify me” sign-ups; when you mark it live, everyone waiting is notified.
How are launches ranked?
By upvotes within the selected period (today, this week, this month or all time), then by how recent they are.
Networking
How are people suggested?
Matching looks at what you are each here for (a co-founder, hiring, investors…), shared skills, and whether you are in the same city or country. Complete profiles rank higher.
How do connection requests work?
Choose Connect on someone’s card. They can accept or decline. Once connected, you can message each other.
What’s the difference between following and connecting?
Following shows someone’s posts on your timeline. Connecting is mutual and lets you send direct messages.
Events
How do I create an event?
Go to Events and choose Create event. Add a name, date, location and category.
Who sees my registration details?
Only the event host can see the name, email and phone you register with.
Can events be online?
Yes. Put “Online” as the location and share the joining details in the description or a reminder.
